JACKSON, Wyo. — Due to warm temperatures and soft ice, the ice rinks at Owen Bircher Park in Wilson and at the Teton County Fairgrounds are closed Monday, Dec. 23. Lights at both rinks will be off Monday evening.
Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation staff will evaluate conditions on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 24, to determine if it is safe to open the ice rinks for public use. The closures could last multiple days until colder temperatures return, according to Teton County.
Warm daytime temperatures have caused earlier closures for the Owen Bircher Park ice rink this month. Ice rink updates and schedules can be seen here.
