WILSON, Wyo. — An oversize load traveling on WY22 Friday morning is expected to cause long delays for Teton Pass commuters.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), a 17.5-foot wide load will be moving slowly between the Idaho state line and Jackson from milepost 0 to 6 beginning around 9 a.m. on Friday, June 30.

“Expect major delays,” the WYDOT alert reads.

The width of the load suggests that the vehicle could take up two traffic lanes, as a standard highway lane measures roughly 12 feet wide. WYDOT asks motorists to plan their travel accordingly.
