JACKSON, Wyo. — Got money questions?
One22 Resource Center has announced a series of free financial empowerment workshops for the community, with four online installments planned through the month of April. Each workshop will be available in English and Spanish. According to the nonprofit, the virtual series will offer education that allows participants to “make meaningful steps toward achieving financial stability.”
“Financial literacy rates for adults in our country hover around 50%,” One22’s Director of Community Engagement Seadar Rose Davis said via press release. “One22 wants to provide opportunities for community members to better understand and take charge of their financial journeys. When our financial house is in order, we have more control over the hardships we all inevitably face.”
Four workshops will be held:
- April 8: “A Roadmap to Financial Well-Being” with Jen Hemphill
- April 14: “Emergency Savings = Empowerment” with Megan Smith and Kenia Stack
- April 23: “The Basics of Good Credit and Debt Habits” with staff from Teton Habitat
- April 30: “Retirement Investment Accounts: An Introduction” with Nick Koinis and Maggie Ordóñez
