JACKSON, Wyo. — A new campaign by One22 hopes to raise $300,000 by Friday, May 1.

The Hirschfield-Parke Challenge was announced this week and is being matched by Berte Hirschfield and Veronique and Marshall Parke.

“I have seen this community come together to do amazing things, and now is a more important time than ever as we fight to maintain the soul of our community” said Sharel Lund, One22’s executive director. “Our ability to provide this critical relief relies on the generosity of our neighbors, and we are grateful for Berte, Veronique and Marshall leading the charge.”

Since March 20, One22’s COVID-19 Financial Relief Awards have provided $1.5 million in support for nearly 1,600 families. In May, One22’s financial relief awards will focus on the most critical of critical needs—keeping families in their homes with food on their tables.

“As this economic crisis continues and worsens for some, we are shifting our focus to provide essential support for housing, food, and medicine for our neighbors,” Lund said. “While other resources are beginning to reach some people, we know they’re not reaching everyone. Meanwhile, savings are drying up, and a return to work will likely be gradual and prolong these needs.”

Donations made through Friday will be counted toward the $300,000 challenge. For information on One22’s 22Helps campaign and COVID-19 Financial Relief Awards, visit One22JH.org.
