JACKSON, Wyo.  — In the spirit of Old Bill’s, the Community Foundation and participating nonprofits will be hosting a variety of events around town including Countdown Week (Sept. 7-10) and the Old Bill’s Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, September 11. During Countdown Week, nonprofits will host pop-up celebrations to highlight their individual missions and service areas at various locations around town.   • Tuesday, Sept. 7 – Conservation & Environment + Animals
  • Wednesday, Sept. 8 – Education + Civic
  • Thursday, Sept. 9 – Sports & Recreation + Arts & Culture
  • Friday, Sept. 10 – Health & Human Services

Throughout Countdown Week, Old Bill’s Run Committee volunteers and Community Foundation staff will be spreading cheer with the Frozen Treat Bike, on loan from St. John’s Episcopal Church, sharing free frozen treats with community members at various locations around town.

Old Bill’s Scavenger Hunt

In lieu of a traditional “Run Day” on Saturday, Sept. 11, The Community Foundation has organized an Old Bill’s Scavenger Hunt throughout downtown Jackson. We encourage you to assemble a team with co-workers, family, or friends and register to participate at oldbills.org. Race for the answers to win a grant for your favorite nonprofit. $5,000 in grants will be awarded! Clues will be emailed to each registered team at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, posted online at oldbills.org, and available to pick up on the Community Foundation front porch (245 E Simpson Ave). Answers must be turned in by 12pm on Sept. 11 on the Community Foundation front porch to qualify for a raffle and winning grants.

Virtual 5K: Anytime, Anywhere

Community members are encouraged to independently run, walk, hike or bike 5K anytime and anyplace on Saturday, Sept. 11. A variety of 5K route ideas are available for download at oldbills.org. Participants are invited to post videos and pictures of their independent 5K by using the hashtag #oldbills2021 and tagging @cfjacksonhole on Instagram and/or Facebook, or by emailing oldbills2021@cfjacksonhole.org.

Commemorative gear is also available. Stop by the Community Foundation’s Old Bill’s HQ located on the front porch of 245 E Simpson to pick up your 25th-anniversary t-shirts and special edition Avalon 7 neck gaiters. All items are free and available on a self-serve basis (while supplies last).
