JACKSON, WY— With mountain weather oscillating between snow and sun, it’s a great time to get out (or stay in) for creative events.
View stellar images with photographer Michael Adler during lunch on Thursday at St. John’s Professional Office Building. Adler will talk about 12 images and the Wilson Observatory. The photos range from half-second exposures of the sun during last summer’s eclipse to deep space nebulas and galaxies as far as 2.5 million light-years away. After work, swing by a Chamber Mixer hosted by Central Wyoming College’s Jackson Branch at Center for the Arts.
On Friday, join Wyoming Humanities to explore the role of Facebook in recent U.S. elections with former FBI counterintelligence agent Asha Rangappa. She will examine how Russia took advantage of a vulnerability in America’s social fabric, and its implications for the future of democracy.
Diversify your music collection on Saturday when KHOL 89.1 FM clears out their shelves to host a CD and Record Sale with refreshments from Roadhouse Brewing. Then take advantage of spring winds on Sunday when the Art Association of Jackson Hole offers kite making during a Family Art Class.
Keep the weekend alive on Monday with Teton Artlab’s artist-in-residence Billy Joe Miller, who will open his studio for an artist talk. Miller is an interdisciplinary artist working with installation, sculpture, and sound from Albuquerque, NM.
