Lodging is up for October. Good news for hotels and motels like Mountain Modern.

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Travel and Tourism Board promised it was spending lodging tax money to boost the shoulder seasons and promote a stable year round economy and that appears to be working.

On the heels of a fairly busy summer, October lodging projections are up substantially. The Daily Occupancy Rate—a metric monitoring 13 lodging properties in the Jackson Hole area—shows a substantial increase in bookings over last year for nearly every single day in October.

October is a time of year where our lodging properties are typically at 10% – 15% of capacity. There are a lot of empty beds and unfilled rooms.

Several fall events like the SHIFT Festival (October 16-18), 42nd Nursing and Healthcare Congress(October 19-20), and 4th World Congress on Digestive & Metabolic Diseases(October 29-30) may be helping to elevate October numbers.
