JACKSON, Wyo. — St. John’s Hospital Foundation announced yesterday that Claire O’Connell has been named Marketing and Special Events Manager.

“Claire has a strong background in marketing, event planning, and operations and has experience working with a small, dynamic team. We are excited to welcome Claire to our incredible community and look forward to working with her in this important role,” said John Goettler, Foundation President.

O’Connell is responsible for working closely with donors, volunteers, and community members to increase donor engagement with the Foundation as well as the impact of community events. She will oversee the Foundation’s marketing efforts and brings an expertise in social media. As the Foundation staff liaison to the St. John’s Auxiliary, O’Connell will work closely with the volunteers to organize and promote the Spring Fling Gala and the Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

O’Connell is also coordinating with the organizers of third-party fundraising events: Phil Leeds of Skinny Skis on the Run ’n’ Ride for the Cure, Julie Guttormson on Rock the Ride, and Eddie Kolsky on the Steve Winograd Memorial Diabetes Tennis Tournament.

Prior to joining the St. John’s Hospital Foundation, O’Connell served as Operations Manager for Zoobean, a Mark Cuban Company in Washington, D.C. Originally from Bethesda, MD, O’Connell holds a B.B.A. in International Business from George Washington University.
