JACKSON, Wyo. — Rendezvous Festival is sure to bring the crowds this weekend. Based on the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce daily occupancy report, occupancy rates for this upcoming weekend are expected to be above the historic average.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce reports the occupancy rates based on 16 Jackson Hole lodging properties. The recent report is based on “on the books” or pre-booked rooms as of March 15.
Occupancy rates are expected to be above 50 percent beginning tomorrow, March 30. Friday, March 31, is expected to be above 60 percent and Saturday, April 1, occupancies are projected to be above 65 percent, based on pre-bookings as of March 15.
Last year the occupancy rates, as of March 15, for the same days were less than 40 percent. The Chamber shared historic actuals as well, which account for all bookings, and occupancy rates for those same days were between 40 percent and 50 percent.
Pre-bookings for April and most of May are already exceeding 2022 pre-bookings for the same time, signaling that the Travel and Tourism Board’s goal to attract more business from October through May is working.
The outlook for the rest of April shows a decline in occupancies but still more pre-booked rooms compared to 2022. Occupancy rates through April 27 are projected at under 20 percent and then hover around 30 percent until early May.
Historic actuals for occupancy in April are under 30 percent but around May 10 occupancies start increasing towards 50 percent.
Rendezvous Festival, hosted by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board and Jeep, is this Friday and Saturday, March 31- April 1, with free live music on the Town Square and in Teton Village.
