JACKSON, Wyo. — On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 10:50 p.m., The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Jackson Hole.

The dense fog alert is in effect until 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. This weather advisory is issued when visibility is less than one half mile in dense fog.

The NWS cautions that low visibility can cause hazardous driving conditions. Overnight fog and temperatures dipping below freezing can lead to slick roads.

When driving in fog, slow down, use low headlights and leave plenty of distance on the road ahead.
