Norris Campground back in business Tower Fall Campground National park Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news
Campers have running water again in Norris Campground.
JACKSON HOLE, WYO – With every camping space at a premium in Yellowstone this time of year, park authorities are pleased and relieved to announce they have found and fixed the water problem at Norris Campground. The facility will open today for campers. Running water is back.
Users are advised to boil water for at least three minutes before drinking it, cooking with it, washing dishes, or brushing teeth. Maintenance crews are testing the water this morning.
As an alternative, tank(s) containing potable water will continue to be available to campers in the C Loop until the water system is deemed safe for human consumption. This situation is expected to last from one to three days.
The water supply system in the Norris area failed on the morning of July 5.
