JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson’s local knife maker is in the national spotlight once again. Bon Appetit, the world’s leading food magazine, reaches 6.5 million readers in print. The November issue features a four-page article about chef knives with New West KnifeWorks prominently highlighted among the world’s top cutlery manufacturers.

The brilliant handle colors and an etching of the Tetons definitely stand out among the more traditional blades. The editors give a special shout out to New West:

“It’s the champion of the all-around: agile enough to make delicate work of veggies and sturdy enough to bone a chicken. It strikes the perfect balance between power and grace. Corey Milligan of New West KnifeWorks says he gives their Petty knife to people he doesn’t know that well, since they’re guaranteed to find use for it, no matter how they cook. And with the groovy colored handles and sleek Japanese blade, they’re able to spot it from a mile (or a few feet) away.”

The Petty along with many other faves from New West KnifeWorks & MTN Man Toy Shop are currently discounted as a part of their Black Friday Sale which runs through December 1.

With national exposure, Milligan recommends buying early this year since they might sell everything out online.

To help with the shopping, New West has put together a series of gift guides to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list, naughty or nice.
