JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Local leaders say it is time to unveil a new traffic model recently completed by an outside agency.

Teton County, the Town of Jackson, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) have partnered to build a Travel Demand Model (aka traffic model) for the Jackson Hole area, with the assistance of Cambridge Systematics, an independent transportation consultancy firm.

Initial data gathering began in October of 2017 and was followed by a public open house in December 2017 to present an overview of the process and solicit public feedback for the Transportation Advisory Committee, the project team, and Cambridge Systematics to inform the project.

The model has been completed. Two public presentation sessions have been scheduled to demonstrate the project results:

  • Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 10:00am – 12:00pm
  • Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Both sessions will be held in the County Commission Chambers in the Teton County Administration Building at 200 South Willow Street in Jackson.

The presentation materials will be the same at each session, however the discussion is expected to be more technical in nature at the morning session, intended to target those that have an interest in the more detailed elements of the model results. Please feel free to attend either session.

Any questions related to the project or the public presentation can be directed to Teton County Engineering Manager, Amy Ramage: 307-732-8574, or by email.
