JACKSON, Wyo. — Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson and the Jackson Town Council passed a proclamation on March 6, recognizing March 17 as National Service Recognition Day.

The proclamation recognizes Teton County AmeriCorps members, actively serving at multiple locations.

“Through involvement with Teton Science Schools and other local partners, service members are engaged in the development of resources to enact lasting change in the community,” states the proclamation, “In the past year, AmeriCorps members have actively served with over 20 local partners including the Teton Literacy Center and the Art Association of Jackson Hole.”

Morton Levinson said, “I do hereby proclaim March 17, 2023, as National Service Recognition Day, and encourage residents to recognize the positive impact of national service in our county, to thank those who serve and to find ways to give back to their communities.”
