National Museum of Wildlife Art offering online art classes this winter

JACKSON, Wyo. — Learn and practice a new art medium alongside regional professional artists during the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s “Make it Wild” online art-making class series, which begins December 8.

Live, online courses on Zoom are open to adults and young adults with beginner to intermediate abilities. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during these interactive programs.

Make it Wild Course Schedule:

  • Block Printing with Wendell Field — December 8 from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Gesture Drawing with Kathryn Turner — January 5 from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Wildlife Portraiture with Andrew Kneeland — February 9 from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Exploring Pastels with Jennifer L. Hoffman — March 9 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Cost: Each class is $35 to attend live or $20 to watch a recorded video of the class at a later time. The cost to attend all four classes live is $110 (savings of $30).

Registrants will receive a list of inexpensive and easy to acquire art materials for use during the online course(s). You will receive a link to the live Zoom class in a confirmation email.

Your registration fee supports the Museum’s Art Leadership Scholarship in Honor of the Memory of Dick Jennings. Dick Jennings was a Museum board member whose memory inspires us to pursue our passions. The $4,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a local High School Senior who plans to study art at the college level. The National Museum of Wildlife Art thanks you for your support!
