VICTOR, IDAHO — This Thursday don’t miss Free Creatures at Music on Main in Victor City Park. Local legends, Sghetti will open the show starting at 6 p.m.
Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Free Creatures brings a new musical flavor with alt hip-hop power fusion. The trio features emcee and producer Marv Ellis remixing original beats on an MPC live while rapping and freestyling in his beloved and charismatic style. Ellis is joined by the smooth, sweet swagger of upright bassist and singer Emily Turner, and the riveting effects of electric guitar layers and solos from Skyler Squglio.
Turner stands abreast on the bow, calming the storm with siren-like vocals, while simultaneously driving deep, thunderous grooves on electric upright bass. Squglio expertly mans the mast, harnessing hurricane-force winds of melody with his smiling, upside-down, left-handed guitar. As you ride the Free Creatures ship into the sunset, you may find a brand new favorite flavor of love on your tongue; the umami of music.
Free Creatures’ sound encompasses a wide breadth of genres: Alt hip hop, Indie, psychedelic rock, and EDM. They are uniquely Northwest, with authentic ingredients and diversified influences that bring out a new musical flavor. Expect bangin’ beats, harmonic hooks and expansive jams, with a message, and with such great vibes, dancing is inevitable.
Free Creatures have enjoyed steadfast, all-organic, independent growth since its inception in 2019. Now touring coast to coast, including Alaska and Hawaii, and to promote their latest full-length album release, “While We Can.”

Opening for Free Creatures is local groove outfit, Sghetti. Led by powerhouse female vocals and backed by rock-solid rhythm, percussion, and lead guitar, Teton-region-based Sghetti features an eclectic mix of funk, soul and reggae all intertwined with saucy improvisation.
