JACKSON, Wyo. — Jennifer Nettles has enjoyed a career more varied than any artist could rightly expect. Since bursting onto the scene as a founding member of the multi-platinum group, Sugarland, Nettles has won three GRAMMYs, headlined wildly successful solo tours, taken bows on Broadway, and acted in television series and movies.
On Wednesday, March 2, she will bring her immense talents to the stage of the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a rare acoustic performance.
With more than 14 million records sold, hit songs like the multiple-GRAMMY-winning “Stay,” “Baby Girl,” “All I Want to Do,” “It Happens” and “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” (with Jon Bon Jovi) and other sing-along anthems, Jennifer’s work has become an important part of American music. Among her other honors are three Academy of Country Music Awards, a Country Music Association Award, five ASCAP Awards, the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally for Equality Award, the Artist Impact Award from Lincoln Center, and the first-ever Equal Play Award from the CMT Music Awards for her outspoken advocacy for women in country music.
In 2015, she made her Broadway debut playing Roxy Hart in the Tony-Award-winning, record-breaking musical Chicago, took a turn as Donna in the Hollywood Bowl production of Mamma Mia!, and starred in her first television movie for NBC, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. The following year, she reprised the role in a sequel. In 2021, she made her triumphant return to the Great White Way playing Jenna in the smash-hit musical, Waitress. Never one to rest, however, Jennifer also recently headlined a solo tour, released a new solo album, Always Like New, and a live Sugarland EP.
