MRI special underway at St. John’s

Named a five-star hospital by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, St. John’s seasonal MRI special is geared to be particularly valuable for reducing patient out-of-pocket expense as well as aiding health care providers to diagnose problems and develop optimal treatment plans. Whatsmore, the Medical Center’s MRI has earned a gold seal from the American College of Radiology for excellence in the categories of personnel qualification, facility equipment, image quality, quality control procedures and assurance programs.

To receive a discounted MRI, meet first with a health care provider to request an order. Once an order for imaging is confirmed, an appointment may be booked on week-days 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. John’s scheduling office. Alternatively, orders filed electronically by a provider will be followed by a scheduling contact from the Medical Center, whose MRI is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

“We want to reduce the barriers to care,”  said St. John’s radiologist Sean Haling, MD, “so that all community members can receive the quality care we are able to provide at our Five Star hospital.”
