JACKSON, Wyo. — Mountain Towns 2030, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing climate action across mountain communities nationwide, officially announced that its annual summit will be held in Jackson in October 2024.

According to the Town of Jackson, this two-day event from Tuesday, Oct. 15 to Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, aims to facilitate climate action plans and accelerate collective climate solutions. The Mountain Towns 2030 Summit (MT2030) in Jackson will bring together elected officials, staff, sustainability teams and consultants, ski resort leaders, nonprofit partners and participants who will be able to share ideas for effective change.

The 2024 Summit will convene approximately 500 attendees for two days of keynotes, panels and hands-on workshops featuring actionable and relevant solutions. Jackson was selected as the Summit location due to the town’s ambitious goal to be net zero for carbon emissions by 2030.

The Town of Jackson will be seeking funding from the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board in order to host the MT2030 in Jackson this fall.
