JACKSON, Wyo. — Town of Jackson (TOJ) Engineering announced on Friday, Oct. 18, that the intersection of Millward St. and Pearl Ave. will remain closed this week to complete sidewalk concrete work.

Crews are estimated to finish the concrete cures and cutting by Friday, Oct. 25, weather and material availability dependent. Last week, crews completed the preparation of the concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter.

“Our target is to have the intersection back open for normal operations after the concrete cures for seven days, for the concrete to reach design strength, due to the colder weather,” TOJ said in the announcement.

After the sidewalks are dry, site cleanup and demobilization will follow. TOJ Engineering said that the project is near completion.

Pedestrians and bikers are advised to pay attention for wet concrete and re-routes as the concrete cures. Motorists should seek alternate routes in the vicinity of this construction activity and obey all construction notification, detour and parking restriction signage, according to TOJ.
