JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Representative Mike Yin announced today he will run again for his seat on House District 16.

Yin was first elected in 2018 and is nearing the end of his second term.

“As many of you have experienced, these past few years have been a world upside-down in a lot of ways,” Yin wrote in a campaign email. “It has been like that in the legislature as well, but my driving principles when serving you has [sic] always been to make Wyoming a place where you can grow up, raise a family if you desire, and have your kids be able to settle in Wyoming too.”

His time in the legislature has been defined by ambitious legislation, particularly around taxes, fees, and social issues in a conservative state. Yin has pushed for hate crime bills, marijuana regulation, and fees for second homeowners, among other things.

“It has been truly an honor to serve you, and I hope I am worthy to continue doing so for another two years,” Yin wrote.
