JACKSON, WY — There’s a new doctor in town at Medicine Wheel Wellness, and he’s ready to help heal your headaches, shoulder, neck, elbow, hip, back, knee, or foot pain.
Dr. Derrik Sulzer, DC, MS is an outdoor enthusiast passionate about skiing, climbing, biking, and running. He’s also passionate about healing. As a Sports Medicine Chiropractor, he takes a whole body approach to treating injuries and ailments in the joints, muscles, and nerves in both the spine and extremities. And now until June 15, Sulzer is offering new patients a 45-minute chiropractic appointment for just $99.
Sulzer has worked under three different Olympic chiropractors who have shared treatment methods with him used on some of the top athletes in the world. He has been involved in over a dozen different sports throughout his life, both action and extreme, and has experience working with athletes from high school through professional levels all over the U.S. Apart from athletes, he has experience working with all patient populations and truly enjoys helping anyone and everyone.
Sulzer strives to empower patients to understand that their health is in their own hands. He gives each patient the tools they need to maintain wellness. He uses an integrative approach combining various methods of Chiropractic, soft tissue manipulation and rehab procedures in his treatments to effectively help patients decrease pain, recover from injuries, reduce their risk of re-injury and increase athletic performance. The care Sulzer provides is truly geared towards everyone as he treats the root cause and not just the symptoms of both acute and chronic conditions.
You can also catch him in the Medicine Wheel Wellness fitness studio sharing his passion for health by teaching dynamic neuromuscular stability (DNS) and RehabFIT classes, which both focus on developing functional strength to recover from and prevent injuries. Personally, Sulzer practices what he preaches by regularly doing these same exercises taught in class to stay healthy as a mountain athlete. A few examples of Sulzer finding balance in life throughout the past year include running traverses in the north Cascades, skiing the Grand, and gaining 300,000 feet of elevation.Sulzer’s previous Sports Chiropractic event experience: PENN Relays, Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival, Portland Winterhawks training room, Portland Spring Classic Triathlon, Portland High School District track meet, Ride to defeat ALS, Portland Blue Lake Triathlon, Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament, Canby Rodeo, Parkrose and Portland Christian high school training rooms (basketball, football, volleyball, xc and track and field, baseball/softball, golf, wrestling), Montana State high school basketball tournament, Bozeman high school all-comers USA track and field.
