JACKSON, Wyo. — On January 4, 2021, the Town of Jackson will have a new mayor. Lifelong resident Michael Kudar, 48, hopes he will be the person sworn to lead Jackson for the next four years with environmental contamination, public safety and transportation and accountability and transparency in town governance as his priorities.
“I am running for mayor with experience as a council member, Planning and Zoning Chair and corporate manager, as well as a civic steward over the years that have prepared me to collaborate widely, to convene both locally and regionally, and to explore every possibility to help Jackson move forward with respect to the taxpayer,” Kudar wrote in response to a recent interview for Protect Our Water Jackson Hole.
Kudar said he is a family man and business consultant residing in Jackson with his wife, Serese, and three teenagers. “I truly love the people of the town and the community itself,” Kudar shared.
“Jackson needs a leader with a vision 30 years from now to move Jackson forward with indomitable hope for all who live and work in Jackson.”
His mayoral campaign is about bringing back good leadership that will do the work to support small businesses and strengthen cultural and governance opportunities for ALL residents of the town.
Kudar mentioned he is a registered Non-Partisan. He is not right, and he is not left. His decisions will be as a nonpartisan elect with honesty and integrity.
“After a brisk 48-day write-in campaign, we achieved a record number of write-ins in a Mayoral primary election,” said Kudar. “This groundswell of support shows a movement to bring Jackson together and end the divisive tenure of local and national politics. Our campaign believes this is a good solution for the next four years.”
