TETON COUNTY, Wyo. — A man died Tuesday after his tent was struck by lightning while camping near Enos Lake in the Teton Wilderness.

The man, whose name is not yet known, was 22 years old.

So far this year, there have been nine lightning fatalities in the U.S., according to National Weather Service records. This is the first recorded in Wyoming in 2022.

Enos Lake is accessed by the Pacific Creek Trailhead in the Bridger-Teton National Forest and is located off of Highway 89/287, about seven miles up Forest Service Road 30090.
