JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library Board has announced that Deb Adams, who retired from her position as Director of Library Services in 2015, will begin serving as Interim Director next week. She replaces Oscar Gittemeier, who left the library last week.

The Library has seen quite a bit of turnover in the director position since Adams’ retirement in 2015.

As a 28-year employee of the library—including 11 years as Director—Adams brings extensive experience in executive leadership, budget development and financial management, outreach, communications, and program implementation, allowing for a smooth transition for the board and staff.

“The Library Board and staff are deeply committed to the continuity of operations and services to our community,” said Mark Hendrickson, Board Chair. “The board unanimously voted to select Deb Adams for this very important role. Her expertise in overseeing day-to-day operations and familiarity with many staff members will ensure ongoing pursuit of the library’s strategic goals, as well as support of the Board’s fiscal- and policy-related responsibilities.”

The search for a new Library Director will begin in the coming months.
