JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library will host a free story slam on the Center Lawn on Monday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m.
The theme of this slam will be “water.” Interested participants will throw their name into a bucket and will be selected to perform randomly. Stories must be true, about the theme, about the storyteller, shorter than five minutes and delivered without notes.
“Rafting expeditions gone awry, CamelBaks gone dry, basements flooded — or water under the bridge,” the library suggested as potential starting points in its event announcement.
A panel of judges will award prizes to the top three storytellers. Audience members are also welcome to participate by contributing themed Mad Libs that emcee Jeff Moran will read aloud between stories.
