JACKSON, Wyo. — Storytellers will have two chances to try out their craft this summer at Teton County Library’s Cabin Fever Story Slam events.
The library will host two outdoor story slams, one on Monday, July 15 at Phil Baux Park and one on Monday, Aug. 12 at Center for the Arts Amphitheater. Both events are at 7 p.m.
Performers will be selected at the event, with ten names being drawn from a bucket. Audience members who don’t want to get up on stage are invited to submit mad libs for the emcee to read between stories.
The theme for the first night is “Hot,” and the second event theme has yet to be chosen. Stories must incorporate the theme and be true and about the teller. No notes are allowed.
Storytellers will have a chance to win a Cabin Fever Story Slam hat and other prizes.
The slams are free of charge to attend. More information on can be found on the library’s website.
