Library to host clothing drive/giveaway Friday

JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Library and the Spread the Love Commission will collect and distribute gently worn winter clothing and hygiene items at an event this Friday, Feb. 7.

This event will focus on gathering and distributing critical supplies for getting through the winter, in an effort to aid the most vulnerable in the community. Representatives from local government agencies and nonprofits will be on hand to share information about emergency housing, rental/food assistance programs, mental health resources and more.

Community members of all ages are invited to this free event. Attendees can help assemble health and hygiene kits. Light refreshments will be provided.

Bring clean, new or gently used items in adult sizes. Kids’ items will not be accepted at this event. Items accepted include:

Adult clothing:

Socks
Jackets
Rain ponchos
Windbreakers
Beanies and ball caps, visors
Scarves or neck buffs
Fleece and Hoodies
T-shirts
Button up collared shirts, long and short sleeve

New underwear
Long underwear
Sports bras and tank tops
Leggings
Sweatpants
Jeans and work pants
Shoes (with good tread) – sneakers, boots, practical dress shoes, slippers, flip flops
