JACKSON, Wyo. — Lifelong learners, listen up!
The Teton County Library will host a free four-part art history series this October. Educator and artist Melinda Linn will guide students through “From Ancient to AI: Explore the Evolution of Art” on Saturday afternoons (Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the library’s auditorium.
“Come journey through the history of human creativity — from primitive cave paintings made with rudimentary tools to groundbreaking digital art shaped by artificial intelligence,” the course description reads.
“We’ll uncover the stories behind iconic works, debate the shifting role of artists and examine how technology is redefining artistic expression,” it continues. “Whether you’re fascinated by the old or new, this is your chance to discuss, analyze and be inspired by the ever-evolving world of visual culture. You may end up seeing art in a whole new light.”
No registration is required. This series is open to all patrons ages 18 and older, according to the library.
