Teton County Library Press Release

JACKSON, Wyo. — On Thursday, June 29, the Teton County Library will kick off its summer author series with a poetry workshop and reading with Anne Marie Wells titled “Synonyms for Grief: Writing About Pain Without Writing About It.”

According to a press release from the Library, the 90-minute workshop will present different techniques for transforming past hurts into creative writing in a supportive space. Opportunities to share work aloud will be available but is not required of attendees.

In the time since she moved away from Jackson, Wells has become the lead faculty member for the DC Chapter of the Community Literature Initiative Poetry Publishing Program and has published a poetry collection. Wells will follow the workshop with a reading from her debut poetry collection, “Survived By: A Memoir in Verse + Other Poems” with Curious Corvid Publishing.

This workshop is appropriate for writers of prose or poetry, including beginning writers, and non-writers.
