JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library will host comedic children’s author Bob Shea for school visits and a presentation Thursday, April 16, in the Youth Auditorium.
His picture books include the “Dinosaur VS”. … series and “Unicorn Thinks He’s Pretty Great” and beginning readers’ “Ballet Cat” series.
“Shea’s books are so popular with kids that he was a natural choice for our Author in the Schools program,” said Beth Holmes, the Library’s youth program coordinator. “Parents also really like his humor, so we thought it would be fun to schedule a family program for those who won’t get to see him in school.”
In addition to writing children’s books, Shea has worked with Comedy Central, was the designer of the PBS Kids logo, developed an on-air character for Playhouse Disney and worked with Nick Jr. He has appeared on Noggin and “The Sunny Side Up Show.” Dreamworks is developing one of his books into a television show.
Library programs are free and open to the community with support from local donations to the Teton County Library Foundation and Friends. The presentation will take place at 6 p.m. For more info visit www.tclib.org.
