JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Police Department (JPD) is investigating a hit and run collision at the Albertson’s parking lot, according to a recent press release.

The accident occurred on Feb. 14 at approximately 9:45 p.m.

According to JPD, a vehicle that appears to be a dark-colored 2007-2014 Chevrolet Suburban was seen pulling into the parking lot and then backing into a parking space. As the vehicle backs into the parking space it collided with the front end of a black Toyota 4Runner, causing significant damage to the 4Runner. Parts of the Suburban were also left at the scene and collected.

The driver of the Suburban entered Albertson’s, made a cash purchase, and then returned to her vehicle. The owner of the 4Runner attempted to speak with the suspect who then left the parking lot without leaving the required information to settle the collision.

Based on the surveillance video, the suspect appeared to be a slender female with black hair in her 20s or 30s wearing dark clothing.

El Departamento de Policía de Jackson está investigando un choque y fuga que ocurrió el 14 de febrero de 2022, aproximadamente a las 9:45 p. m. en el estacionamiento de la tienda de comestibles Albertson. Se ve un vehículo que parece ser un 2007-2014 Chevrolet Suburban de color oscuro entrando al estacionamiento y luego retrocediendo hacia un espacio de estacionamiento. Cuando el vehículo retrocede hacia el espacio de estacionamiento, choca con la parte delantera de un Toyota 4Runner negro, causando daños significativos al 4Runner.
