The Cook is responsible for planning weekly menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Complete production records for breakfast and lunch and maintain whatever paperwork is required by the State, Local or Federal government.  Prepare a weekly grocery shopping list and do the shopping. Responsible for preparing lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and for organizing ingredients for the meals to be served over the weekend. While you are not expected to serve as a child care worker, you are expected to interact with residents in an appropriate manner thus have a general awareness of the program’s treatment philosophy, and the students rights, rules, and expectations.

This position provides the opportunity to work in an active and challenging environment while helping youth to find their way to more fulfilling and constructive lives.

The Overnight staff shall assume responsibility to ensure security at Red Top Meadows during the nighttime hours. This requires making frequent bed checks, remaining alert at all times, complete assigned minor maintenance or housekeeping responsibilities along with meal prep, and lastly help students start their day positively by maintaining a pleasant, caring attitude, and a calm, respectful environment.

  •  Provide Individual, Group, and Family Therapy services to residents of the treatment program.
  •  Prepare for and participate in all Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and court hearings for assigned clients.
  • Maintain all documentation for assigned clients including Intake, Treatment Plan, Monthly Treatment Plan Review, and Case Notes.
  • Act as primary communication link with assigned client’s families and DFS caseworkers or school placement managers.  This includes monthly update phone calls, incident reporting, scheduling, etc.
  • Participate in the Treatment Team including weekly Team Meetings and other meetings required to discuss individual client treatment issues and program wide treatment. 
  • Meet with Residential staff to assure integrated treatment for clients. 
  • Maintain appropriate licensure for mental health professionals.
  • Participate in Red Top and TYFS training and meetings, including All Staff meetings and All Agency meetings.

This position provides the opportunity to work in an active and challenging environment while helping youth to find their way to more fulfilling and constructive lives.

Youth Counselors are responsible for the daily care and supervision of our residents, building therapeutic relationships with our clients and creating a safe and predictable environment. Creating this environment requires establishing healthy boundaries, reinforcing choices and behaviors through the use of natural and logical consequences, helping residents develop internal self-control by highlighting new growth and change as well as engaging in enriching activities. Youth Counselors work in shifts up to 16 hours, including overnights. Could include leading wilderness trips.
