JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Rocky Mountain Bank and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole announced this week the Jim Moses Fellowship for Nonprofit Professionals. The award will help promising nonprofit employees in Jackson Hole advance their careers and learn new skills, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector.
Last year, Moses retired as the CEO of Rocky Mountain Bank after working in the banking industry for over 50 years. A well-known and well-loved mentor of young professionals, Moses helped many develop their careers and continue learning, especially in the nonprofit sector.
Moses also demonstrated his commitment to the community by serving on the boards of the Center for the Arts, the Counseling Center, the Housing Trust, Teton County Library & Foundation, and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. In addition, he was instrumental in financing projects throughout Teton County, from family homes to community spaces. Under his leadership, Rocky Mountain Bank helped finance the Center for the Arts and the Housing Trust’s Redmond Street Rentals. The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce named Jim Moses ‘Citizen of the Year’ in 2008.
Current Bank President, Mark Hendrickson noted, “We celebrate Mr. Moses’ legacy by supporting nonprofit professionals in Teton County. Jim’s commitment to giving back will continue to be a core value at Rocky Mountain Bank through this fellowship.”
The Jim Moses Fellowship will support mid-career to senior management nonprofit employees in Teton County to pursue professional development focused on growth in leadership and business management. Employees from any department with at least five years of professional work experience, including three years in Teton County, are eligible to apply for up to $10,000 in funding.
The application period opens on Moses’ birthday, April 22, and closes on May 31. The Community Foundation will administer this award in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Bank Fellowship Selection Committee.
