JACKSON, Wyo. — As the winter continues to be strange, warm and dry, many Jacksonites have been curious about the annual Kings and Queens of Corbet’s event on Rendezvous Mountain hosted by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR). The weather window for the event begins Saturday, Feb. 7, and runs through Saturday, Feb. 14.
Forecasts are beginning to show snow within that weather window. Despite warm weather expected this weekend, it appears that winter is trying to make a comeback. Punxsutawney Phil declared six more weeks of winter yesterday, and the famous Powder Buoy in the North Pacific is showing some activity.
As it has been in year’s past, the competition day will be announced the night prior.
“Our crews are hard at work on the competition venue, and the forecast is showing a storm cycle during the event window that should set up Corbet’s for another incredible year of competition,” JHMR told Buckrail.
As of Wednesday, Feb. 4, JHMR is reporting a 220″ season total at the summit of Rendezvous.
