TETON VILLAGE, WYO – When was the last time you saw garage-infused country music in Jackson Hole? Old timers harking back to memorable concert experiences on the Mangy Moose stage know the palpable vibe that can ensue. While you may not recognize Portland-based country and Western quartet Jenny Don’t & the Spurs, taking a chance on an indie act on a Sunday evening is a local music connoisseur’s dream.

Classic country fans will appreciate the throwback feel of Jenny Don’t & the Spurs. With a lineup of former punk rockers, the “cowpunk” edge is real. The band formed in 2012 and has performed in nearly a dozen countries while releasing a slew of albums and singles over the years, including 2021’s Fire on the Ridge, their third full-length studio album. They just finished a run of shows with country artist Charley Crockett and have a relentless touring schedule that will bring them back to the region to play Treefort Music Fest in Boise this September.

Jenny Don’t & the Spurs, 10 p.m. Sunday at the Mangy Moose in Teton Village. $15 at the door for 21+. MangyMoose.com.
