IF4 coming to The Center Jan. 11, and will feature local film
JACKSON, Wyo. — The 2024 International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4) is coming to Jackson on Jan. 11, featuring nine official selections.
The Jackson screening of IF4 will be at the Center for the Arts, 40 S Glenwood Street, on Jan 11 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through The Center and are priced at $20 in advance or at the same price on the day of the event. The total running time of the film is one hour and 45 minutes. There will be fun door prizes and a raffle package of incredible fishing gear available for festival goers as well. This year’s IF4 in Jackson is hosted by the Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation and Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited.
The Jackson Hole One Fly tournament — “the One Fly” — has been an icon in the fly-fishing world for almost 40 years. The Foundation’s latest film, “Tension,” has been selected to be a part of IF4’s 2024 festival. “Tension” celebrates legacy, conservation and perseverance through the story of a young fishing guide and her relationship with her grandfather. The magic of the story comes in the shape of an unexpected narrator.
Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited (JHTU) is the local chapter of Trout Unlimited, a nationwide grassroots organization dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. With over 400 members, JHTU leverages the engaged and conservation-minded community in Jackson to achieve on-the-ground conservation for coldwater fisheries through the Snake River Headwaters Initiative.
All net proceeds from the Jan. 11 IF4 showing will be donated to fund future stream restoration projects along the upper Snake River, which will be co-sponsored by The Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation and JHTU.
