JACKSON, Wyo. —Finding balance is the name of the game. Marketing balanced with visitor education, visitor experience balanced with preserving the environment and the health of the economy balanced with supporting the community. The Jackson Hole travel and Tourism Joint Powers Board (JHTTB) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the balancing act.

The role of the executive director is to assist the JHTTB in fulfilling its mission and vision. Traditionally the main destination marketing organization for Teton County, the JHTTB has expanded its role to include a greater emphasis on destination management and visitor education.

This expansion broadens the definition of success to not only include the health of the economy but that of the community, environment and visitor experience. It is the executive director’s role to incorporate these considerations into every element of the position.

As such, the executive director acts as the primary liaison to the Town and County elected officials and all community partners who work with, or plan to work with, the JHTTB. The executive director will build and maintain partnerships and alliances with community partners, elected officials, members of the community and all tourism stakeholder groups.

The executive director is the primary contact to manage the relationship between all contracted Agencies of Record; contracted positions; community partners; local, regional, and state-wide tourism partners, and stakeholder groups.

This role is expected to be based in Teton County, WY, or surrounding areas.

Proposals are due on March 10, at 4 p.m. Please refer to the RFP for the full scope of work and proposal submission guidelines.
