JACKSON, Wyo. — What does it take to be a volunteer firefighter/paramedic?

It takes passion. It takes determination. It takes drive, and sacrifice. But the best volunteer is actually a diverse team.

That’s according to a new video released by Jackson Hole Fire/EMS last week. The video is the second in a series the crew has produced in an effort to share their stories and show the community who they are.

This one has a more specific purpose: to recruit new volunteers. Fire/EMS is now accepting applications for all stations: Moran, Jackson, Hoback, Adams Canyon, and Wilson.

According to the guys already doing the work, it’s one of the hardest jobs you can do, but also the most rewarding. “Every day, you have the opportunity to do something that’s important,” says Fire Chief Brady Hansen.

This could be your chance to be a hero, and give back to the community every day. Find applications at www.jhfire-ems.org or visit the administration building at 40 E Pearl St in Jackson.
