JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) will host a free event to educate people about waste and the importance of diverting it from landfills on Thursday, July 25.
Attendees of the event will hear from experts who manage waste in the area, and will be able to ask questions about recycling, food waste, construction waste and any other kind of waste people might be curious about.
The education session is part of ISWR’s larger initiative to reach 60% waste diversion in Teton County by 2030. Waste diversion is the amount of waste that doesn’t go to a landfill. People will learn how they can contribute to waste diversion at the event.
The session, part of ISWR’s Sustainability Series, will be held at the Recycling Center at 3270 S Adams Canyon Dr. from 12 to 1 p.m.
Those wishing to attend the event can register here.
