JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Last week, InterConnections 21 led a group of 16 high school students from Jackson Hole High School, Journeys School, and JH Community School to a Model United Nations Conference in Bilbao, Spain.

Students simulated actual United Nations committees during four days of robust debate, collaboration, and problem solving with over 400 students from schools in Spain, England, Belgium, Germany, France, Albania, and Cameroon.

The local delegation came home with Best Delegate or Outstanding Delegate awards in five out of eight committee assignments.

Congratulations to Sam Smith (Indonesia Economic and Social Committee), Rosalie Daval (Indonesia Security Council), Warren Levy (Indonesia Human Rights Committee), Maleah Tuttle (Democratic Republic of the Congo Special Conference on the SDGs), and Darcy Mueller (Pakistan Disarmament and International Security Committee) for earning top honors.

Many thanks to all the community members and organizations who supported our students on this incredible trip.
