JACKSON, Wyo. — Holocaust Survivor Estelle Nadel is returning to Jackson and Teton Valley to speak to students and residents.

According to a Jackson Hole Jewish Community (JHJC) press release, Nadel will visit with Jackson High School and Middle School students as well as with Teton High School students in Driggs, Idaho, to recount her experience escaping the Nazis. Most of Nadel’s family was murdered in the gas chambers of Auschwitz.

“I think it’s important to speak now as much as we can while we, the survivors, are still alive,” Nadel told the Jackson Hole News and Guide in 2022. “There are not that many of us left to speak. The Holocaust is being forgotten, and there is so much anti-Semitism in the world today.”

JHJC will host a free talk with Nadel at St. John’s Episcopal Church (170 N. Glenwood, Jackson) on Wednesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m.

This event is not suitable for children under the age of 10.
