JACKSON, Wyo. — The ongoing government shutdown continues to impact food access and security throughout Wyoming, and nonprofit organizations like Hole Food Rescue (HFR) are doubling down their efforts to provide food to those in need.
Due to SNAP benefits being delayed or only partially distributed in November, HFR will keep the regular Food for the Community programs open to everyone. There are no qualifications or requirements to use this program.

HFR also has hosted three pop-up grocery distributions inside Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) in partnership with the Teton County Library. These distributions are intended to support furloughed federal workers. So far, 4,600 pounds of food have been shared with more than 125 workers and their families.
Further pop-ups in GTNP are yet to be determined.
