Update 10 a.m. Jan. 5: WYDOT has finished avalanche mitigation work. Check online for the most recent updates and road information.

JACKSON, Wyo. — WY 22 (Teton Pass) and US 191/189 (Hoback River Canyon) will be closed tomorrow morning for avalanche hazard mitigation according to WYDOT.

Teton Pass is slated to close at 3 a.m., followed by the Hoback River Canyon at 6 a.m. WYDOT says the roads may be closed earlier due to weather and avalanche conditions.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight Jan. 4, no parking is permitted between the Idaho State line and the closure gate at Wilson (milepost 17 and milepost 7). Parking will also be closed between Hoback Jct. and Daniel Jct. (milepost 111 to 164). Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised by WYDOT to plan accordingly.
