GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Travelers in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) should expect intermittent closures to Teton Park Road across the Jackson Lake Dam from Wednesday, Oct. 11, through Friday, Oct. 13, per GTNP.
Crane work on the dam will force road closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday for up to two hours at a time. The project will be overseen by the Bureau of Reclamation.
“During this time, travelers will not be able to make a through-trip on the Teton Park Road,” GTNP announced. “Those wishing to access the northern part of Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park will need to use U.S. Highway 89/191.”
Signs posted at Jackson Lake Junction near Signal Mountain Lodge will warn drivers about the closures a day in advance. Flaggers will direct traffic north of the dam and south of Catholic Bay Picnic Area.
