JACKSON, Wyo. — Five temporary closures are set to take place beginning tomorrow in Grand Teton National Park.
The southern portion of the Moose-Wilson Road from Granite Canyon Entrance to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve will close to all access beginning tomorrow and is tentatively scheduled to reopen in December for winter activity.
The Jackson Lake Dam boat launch area (located below the dam on the north side) will be closed to all access, including boating, fishing and parking.
Three roads in the park are set to temporarily close this September.
The one-way Jenny Lake Scenic Drive will be closed from Sept. 12-16 for road striping operations. The access road to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve is tentatively planned to temporarily close Sept. 26-30 to overlay the roadway with new asphalt and the Signal Mountain Summit Road will be closed Sept. 14 from 8 a.m. so a new radio tower can be transported to the top of Signal Mountain. The road is set to reopen Sept. 15 at 8 a.m.
