GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Giddy up!

Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) has announced that a traditional cattle drive will travel through the park on the morning of Saturday, June 22, between Elk Ranch Flats and east of Moran Junction on U.S. Highway 26/89/191. The road will be temporarily closed to vehicles between 7 and 8 a.m. for the cattle drive.

“To avoid travel delays, motorists may choose to use an alternate route and drive the Teton Park Road between Jackson Lake Junction and Moose,” GTNP said.

Park visitors can expect additional traffic factors next week. Road stripping operations will close Jenny Lake Scenic Drive from Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27. Road stripping will also cause delays of up to 15 minutes on U.S. Highway 89, Teton Park Road from Moose to Jackson Lake Junction, the North Park Road from Moran to the South Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the Colter Bay Visitor Center area.
