JACKSON, Wyo. — The Lucas Ranch will be moving their cows south using Spring Gulch Road on Sunday Sept. 10, and expect to cause delays in the area.

The cattle drive is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. and last an estimated two hours to move the cattle from pastures on Zenith Drive to the pastures on Bar BC Ranch Road.

The Lucas’ run their cattle between the two areas twice per year, usually once in June and again in early September.

The University of Wyoming recommends keeping speeds under 10 mph when encountering a cattle drive, since cows have less traction on roads and are unable move quickly to dodge a vehicle.
