JACKSON, Wyo. — A rally in support of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign will be held on Town Square on Friday, Aug. 9, the night before former President Trump visits Jackson to attend a private fundraising event.

County Commissioner Natalia Macker told Buckrail that plans for the rally came together after multiple conversations among locals feeling excited about Harris’ campaign. Macker organized and posted details for the rally, inviting the community to come together and show their support.

Macker noted that she and the organizers are “certainly aware of events happening the next day,” but that the rally is a chance to express positivity rather than to focus on the challenges of campaign season.

“Women’s representation matters and the issues that I care deeply about are front and center for the Vice President,” Macker said. “It’s really thrilling to support that.”

The rally will begin at 5 p.m.
