MOOSE, Wyo. — Visitation rates continue to break past records throughout the fall in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP). In October, GTNP hosted an estimated 351,173 recreation visits, an 88% increase compared to October 2019. Park statistics show that October 2020 saw the highest number of recreation visits on record for the month of October. The previous record was set in 2018 with 207,534 visitors in October.

September and August also saw an increase in visitation rates compared to 2019. In March, April, May, and June, visitation rates were lower than in 2019, most notably, April with 0 recorded visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
